Airport open house

set for Wednesday

VIENNA - An open house has been scheduled for Wednesday at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport to give area businesses and community members a chance to ''come out and get to know the airport again.''

The event is open 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday and will include tours, displays and speakers. A discussion will be led by keynote speaker Jason Fink, executive vice president of the Williamsport / Lycoming Chamber of Commerce. The Williamsport region has seen an increase in economic development and growth from the Marcellus Shale industry.

"With the recent increase of the oil and gas industry, the number one question we get is 'what has been going on at the airport?'" said YNGAir Partners president Doug Kibby. "This open house is an opportunity for all to come and see for themselves and get re-acquainted with the airport again"

YNGAir Partners is a nonprofit organization in support of the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport.
