Mr. and Mrs. Michael Piros of Cortland celebrated their 50th anniversary Sept. 10, 2012. On Sept. 9, they renewed their wedding vows at St. Roberts Church in Cortland with Father Kish presiding. A dinner to celebrate this special occasion was held at the Cafe 422.
Michael and the former Patricia Szabo were married Sept. 10, 1962.
Mike retired from the Trumbull Career and Technical Center, where he was director of adult education. He also was a Bazetta township trustee for 20 years. Pat retired as a medical secretary, working 17 years for Dr. James J. LaPolla.

The couple have four sons, Kevin (Christine) of Cortland, Keith (Lisa) of Newton Falls, Shawn (Lisa) of Howland and Todd (Kim) of Champion. They also have five grandchildren.
