Jim and Marian Smith celebrated their 60th anniversary Aug. 23, 2012, with their family.
The couple were married Aug. 23, 1952.
They have three children, Bonnie (Ken) Wellendorf of Brookfield, Jim (Wendy) Smith of Champion and Kevin Smith of Champion. They also have 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Jim served in the U.S. Navy for four years and was stationed aboard the USS Diamond Head at Norfolk, Va. He is retired after 39 1/2 years as a mechanic at Denman Tire.
Marion was a part time daycare aid at the Pilgrim School in Newton Falls, and a homemaker.
They are members of Champion Presbyterian Church where they have served on various boards and committees, and enjoy spending time with their children, grandchildren and their families and friends.
