SWNA, Tod’s Crossing meet

ASSOCIATION SETS MEETING: The South West Neighborhood Association will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Tod's Crossing Senior Apartments, Tod Avenue, for a combined meeting with SWNA, Tod's Crossing and Palmyra Heights Neighborhood group. Discussion will be on the reopening of Southwest Park, block watch development, upcoming Make A Difference Day events, and other community initiatives.

yahoo.com. The SWNA will hold its October meeting at their regular meeting place, New Freedom Missionary Baptist Church.

CLEANUP SET IN WARREN: The annual fall neighborhood cleanup will be held Saturday. Those participating can meet at the corner of Mahoning Avenue and Belmont Street. Materials and equipment will be provided, with refreshments to follow at noon.

GARDEN FESTIVAL PLANNED: The Ohio State University Extension, Trumbull County, will hold a garden festival from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Courthouse Square in Warren. It is a companion event to the state Master Gardener conference. The theme is "Bloom Where You are Planted." The garden festival and conference will have an urban flavor and focus on re-imagining public and private space to include notions related to horticulture and agriculture. There will be lectures and presentations.

The conference is open to the public from 4 to 6 p.m.

CRAFT EVENT PLANNED: Life Enriching Activities Program for special needs adults will hold a craft program from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Children's Rehabilitation Center. Cost is $2 per member. Those attending are asked to call Chrissy at 330-718-5539.
