HARTFORD - A parade, rides, entertainment and lots of apples will be part of the annual apple festival to be held from
Friday to Sunday in Hartford with activities planned at the center at state Routes 7 and 305.
Festival hours are 6 p.m. to midnight Friday, 9 a.m. to midnight Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
There will be rides by Midway Amusements from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday and noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, along with food vendors, artisans, crafts and church and Scout booths.
Rebecca Whitman, festival committee secretary, said the event brings families together for a weekend of fun along with a variety of activities and apples to enjoy.

6 p.m. - Opening ceremony with flag raising by Boy Scouts
7 p.m. - Queen ceremony followed by the queen's dance from 9 to 11 p.m. with music by Bryce Lamancusa
Saturday
9:30 a.m. - 5K race
10:30 a.m. - Children's bike parade
11 a.m. - Pet parade
11:30 a.m. - Children's games
Noon - Historical display, township building
1 p.m. - Children's tractor pull
2 p.m. - Magician Gary Morton
3 p.m. - Sheltered Reality performs
6 p.m. - Parade with lineup beginning at 4 p.m. at corner of Bushnell-Campbell and Hartford-Five Points roads
7:30 p.m. - Jim Golden performs

10:30 a.m. - church service
1 p.m. - apple pie eating contest; car cruise-in at Hartford United Methodist Church
2 p.m. - Apple peeling contest; Barber Shoppers perform
