DEAR EDITOR:
The first thing that's got to go if Romney becomes president is Planned Parenthood. There is more to Planned Parenthood and Roe vs. Wade than abortion.
I also am against abortion but not birth control. If Romney gets the presidency and keeps this promise, affordable birth control, mammograms and pap smears will be in jeopardy. Ergo, it is the main reason he picked a Catholic for a running mate, hoping he'll get the majority of the Catholic vote. He has to realize that Catholics are not like a bunch of sheep; as for me, "baaa" is not in my vocabulary.
Paul Ryan has his own plan for revamping entitlements. Let us not forget Ryan lost his father when Ryan was 16 years old. He got his share of entitlements. Social Security helped him buy food, clothes and to go to college. He already got his share.
Ryan's new plan for the next generation is to save for their old age on their own. How in the world are people going to save money when families are living paycheck to paycheck, if they even have a paycheck. People lost their homes and their jobs; how are they supposed to save enough to be secure in their old age? We all agree something has to be done to secure the entitlements, but there also has to be a better way.
