John and Mary Ann Kellner of Cortland celebrated their 50th anniversary on June 28, 2012. On July 1, 2012, they were honored guests at a surprise gathering of family and friends hosted by their children.
The couple have four daughters, Debra Kellner of Howland, Karen (John) DeSalvo of Winston Salem, N.C., Sharon (Albert) Nuzzi of Howland and Johnna (Lloyd) Shrum of Cortland. They also have nine grandchildren.
John Kellner and the former Mary Ann Nicholas were united in marriage on June 28, 1962, in Cumberland, Md.

John retired from General Motors, while Mary Ann was a loving homemaker who enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom.
Over the years, the couple enjoyed spending time with their family and friends and going to their grandchildren's many activities.
