The value of life not worth much?

September 2, 2012
Tribune Chronicle | TribToday.com

DEAR EDITOR:

I just had a thought: I saw people at another candlelight vigil. Here's the thought, stop the killing and you wouldn't have to have candlelight vigils.

What is wrong with people in today's society??We have a brain and yet we are not thinking before we take a gun or knife and kill someone. Where are the parents and caregivers for the children who do all this killing? Why aren't they teaching them that it is wrong to kill. They must think before they act. Violence is so prevalent in today's society and human life not worth much.

I would never have thought about killing anyone and you know why? My parents made sure I learned fundamental do's and don'ts. When children kill it means parents and caregivers have failed in their duties. This is the long and short of it.
