DEAR EDITOR:
On Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, there were two articles in the Tribune that I would like to comment on.
One was about 17 military personnel that were killed in Afghanistan, seven that were American. There was no follow-up article or names in the next few days.
On the same day, there was an article about a search for a missing dog named Mabel.
The article about the missing dog was more than two times longer than the one about the military personnel getting killed. Think about that for a minute.
Also, in Florida it is against the law to destroy certain species of turtle eggs, but it is not against the law to have an abortion.
Think about that for a minute, too. God help us.
