Les Coe, of Youngstown, recently held a book signing for his children's book, ''Space Crew-zers,'' at The Daily Grind coffee shop in Girard.
Coe began writing about four years ago for his nine grandchildren.
Beginning as a short story, ''Space Crew-zers'' soon developed into a book series and is the first of a trilogy about a Dallas space station.

Les Coe, author of ‘‘Space Crew-zers,’’ recently held a book signing at The Daily Grind coffee shop in Girard. Pictured with Coe are his granddaughters, Addision Coe, 3, and McKenna Coe, 4.
The book is for the 9 to 15 age group, Coe said, and is about 13 young space adventurers who awaken to find themselves alone in the space station. The adventurers must follow clues to find out what happened to the adults and why they seemed to vanish in thin air.
During their search, problems arise when the space station begins to lose power.
