''Battleship'' - This action film inspired by a board game didn't generate nearly the box-office action that Universal expected. It only earned $65 million in the U.S., less than a third of its estimated budget. Even though it did better internationally, it still was considered one of the biggest bombs of the year.
Taylor Kitsch, Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgard, Rihanna, Brooklyn Decker and Jesse Plemons star in a tale that pits the U.S. Navy against alien invaders.
The DVD comes with the featurettes ''Preparing for Battle,'' ''All Hands on Deck: The Cast'' and ''Engage in Battle.'' The Blu-ray adds information about an alternate ending, a tour of the USS Missouri, a look at the visual effects and ''All Access with Director Peter Berg.'' ''The Lucky One'' - Zac Efron plays a U.S. Marine who goes in search of the woman whose photo he carried into combat in Iraq and served as a good luck charm to him. ''Think Like A Man'' -This comedy, loosely based on Steve Harvey's best-selling book ''Act Like a Woman, Think Like a Man,'' features Michael Ealy, Romany Falco, Jerry Ferrara, Meagan God, Regina Hall, Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, Gabrielle Union, Wendy Williams and Chris Brown dealing with issues of love and romance.
The DVD comes with deleted scenes and a gag reel, while the Blu-ray adds four featurettes - ''The Guy Code,'' ''Men Vs. Women,'' ''He Said, She Said'' and ''Comedy Behind the Scenes.'' (Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, $30.99 DVD, $35.99 Blu-ray)
''The Pirates! Band of Misfits'' - Aardman Studios (''Wallace and Gromit,'' ''Chicken Run'') is responsible for this stop-motion animated tale about a pirate trying to win ''Pirate of the Year'' honors with his rag-tag crew while battling a evil queen and trying to rescue a young scientist. Hugh Grant, Martin Freeman, Brendan Gleeson, Al Roker, Anton Yelchin, Ashley Jensen, Imelda Staunton, David Tennant and Jeremy Piven make up the voice cast.
The DVD includes a filmmakers' commentary, the mini-movie ''So You Want to Be a Pirate'' and the DVD-only game ''Mr. Bobo's Flash Card Challenge.'' The Blu-ray adds two short films by director Peter Lord, the featurettes ''From Stop to Motion'' and ''Creating the Bath Chase Sequence'' and the game ''Pirate Disguise Dress-Up.'' ''Darling Companion'' - When the family dog disappears at wedding in the mountains, the whole wedding party and the guests become a part of the search - with unexpected results - in a comedy from writer director Lawrence Kasdan that features Diane Keaton, Kevin Kline, Dianne Wiest, Richard Jenkins, Sam Shepard, Elizabeth Moss and Mark Duplass.

''Starship Troopers: Invasion'' - This R-rated sci-fi adventure directed by Paul Verhoeven continues as an R-rated CGI-animated adventure with Federation soldiers battling those giant bugs. Japanese animation director Shinji Aramaki takes over the franchise.

''Life Happens'' - Krysten Ritter (''Don't Trust the B-- in Apt. 23) plays a woman dealing with the dating scene as a single mother in a comedy co-starring Kate Bosworth, Rachel Bilson, Jason Biggs, Justin Kirk and Kristen Johnston.
