Liberty Township third annual Celebration in the Park will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 8.
The event is sponsored by the township, the Liberty Historical Society, Windsor House, Walmart, Great Clips and the First Assembly of God Church.
The parade will line up at Old School-Library on state Route 304 and will end at the administration building. The celebration will be held until 5 p.m. at Liberty Center Park behind the administration building.
Included in the events will be a car and motorcycle show, live music by the Juke Hounds, crafters and food vendors, a children's area complete with bounce house and games, and an educational display by the Liberty Historical Society.
Included in the historical display will be photos of the early days of the township consisting of maps of the area mines and World War I and World War II artifacts.
Table space is available. Organizations, businesses or groups who would like to walk or anyone who would like to participate in the parade or to set up as a vendor can call 330-759-7858. Spaces for vendors are $25. There is no admission fee for the event.
