AUBURN, N.Y. - The Mahoning Valley Scrappers surrendered a 3-2 lead in the sixth inning, then scored four times in the top of the 11th for a 7-3 victory over the Auburn Doubledays Saturday night.
Aaron Siliga and Joseph Wendle had run-scoring singles in the 11th to give the Scrappers the lead, then Dorssys Paulino added a two-run double to ice the Scrappers' victory.
Mahoning Valley starter Ryan Merritt allowed 11 hits in 5 1/3 innings, but surrendered only three runs (two earned) and struck out five to keep his team in the game.
Paulino led the Scrappers with three hits and three RBIs, while Siliga and Wendle each had a pair of hits. Wendle also drove in two runs.
Paulino gave Mahoning Valley a 3-2 lead when he doubled home Wendle in the fifth.
