Cheryl D. Malone and Ronald Yancey Jr. are announcing their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Janice Malone of Greensboro, N.C., and the late James ''Jimmy'' Malone of Warren. Parents of the groom-elect are Ronald Yancey Sr. of Cleveland and the late Dorothy Yancey.
Ms. Malone is a Warren Western Reserve graduate and a graduate of Youngstown State University, where she received a bachelor of science degree. She is employed as a manager in the Heart and Vascular Institute of the Cleveland Clinic.

Mr. Yancey is a graduate of East High School, Cleveland. He attended Cleveland State University and is employed by Koinonia Homes as a job coach.
The couple will be married during an open ceremony to be held Aug. 31, 2012, at the Word Church in Cleveland. A reception will be held in the Fireside Chapel at the church immediately following the ceremony.
