FUN DAY SET AT GIRARD PARK: A fun day for children sponsored by the Lena, Mason and Christian Memorial Fund will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Tod Park, Girard. Scheduled are a free book bag and school supply distribution, hot dogs, face painting, clowns and crafts.
The event is memory of the three who perished in a fire in September 2005. The event will be held rain or shine.

BACK TO SCHOOL EVENT: Central Baptist Church, 1301 North Road, Niles, is having a Back to School Sunday event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. There will be back-to-school kits for any school-aged child that attends, as well as water games, a relay race and hot dogs. The winning relay team will get to pie the pastor with whipped cream pies.
