Ronald and Barbara Baumgartner of Howland and Jeff and Sonja Gilliam of Hubbard wish to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their children, Emily A. Baumgartner to Ryan E. Gilliam.
Emily is a 2003 graduate of Howland High School and received her bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising in 2007 from Youngstown State University. She is employed with Nordstrom in Pittsburgh as a department manager.
Ryan graduated in 2002 from Howland High and in 2004 from Pittsburgh Technical Institute with an associate degree in multimedia. He is currently employed with the U.S. Army National Guard.

The couple will be united in marriage Jan. 19, 2013, in a destination wedding in Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., just prior to his deployment to Afghanistan.
Invitations to the beachfront wedding and reception will be issued.
They will reside in Pittsburgh.
