WARREN - Edith M. Henretty, 83, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 8, 1928, in Cortland, the daughter of Harold and May Jones.
Edith was a graduate of Cortland High School, class of 1941. She retired from Thomas Steel in 1985 after working there for 33 years as a receptionist. After retirement, she moved to North Fort Myers, Fla., with her husband, "Buck," for 32 years.

Together again
Edith was a life member of the American Legion. She loved reading, playing cards with her friends and bowling. She enjoyed donating blood whenever she could to the American Red Cross, donating more than 12 gallons of blood.
She will be dearly missed by a son, John Henretty of Howland; a daughter, Cheri (Paul) Watson of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Robert Boulware and Tammy Boulware; and three great-grandchildren, Jazmyn Boulware, Katherine Boulware and Cassandra Boulware.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Lyell "Buck" Henretty, who preceded her May 31, 2002; a son, James; a brother; and a sister.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Roberts Clark Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Roberts-Clark Chapel. Randi Pappa will officiate.
Interment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park.
