The W.D. Packard Concert band will play its summer finale Sunday outside Packard Music Hall.
A fireworks display by Zambelli Fireworks Internationale will conclude the program, which will start a half hour later than usual to better showcase the pyrotechnics.
Conductor Donald W. Byo will lead the band in a program featuring two George Gershwin favorites, ''Strike Up the Band'' and ''Walking the Dog,'' along with Franz von Suppe-Maas' ''Pique Dame'' overture, Kenneth J. Alford's ''The Vanishing Army'' poetic march and medleys of patriotic music by George M. Cohan and songs popularized by Frank Sinatra.
Vocalists Nikita Jones and Joshua Green, both students at Youngstown State University's Dana School of Music, will join the band for ''Sarah Brown Eyes'' and ''Wheels of a Dream'' from the musical ''Ragtime.'' And the band will play other selections from ''Ragtime'' as well as music from ''Chicago.''
The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Sunday on the south lawn at Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren.
Admission is free and the concert is made possible through funding provided by the W.D. Packard Trust.
