‘Lorax’ Blu-ray has new mini-movies

New this week on DVD and Blu-ray:

''Dr. Seuss' The Lorax'' - Theodore Geisel's environmental fable gets the computer-animated treatment from the creators of ''Despicable Me.'' Danny DeVito provides the voice for the title character, the protector of Truffala Valley. A 12-year-old boy heads to the valley in search of a Truffala tree in order to impress a girl. The voice cast also includes Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Ed Helms, Rob Riggle, Jenny Slate and Betty White.

The Blu-ray combo packs include three mini movies featuring the characters that weren't shown in theaters - ''Serenade,'' ''Wagon-Ho'' and ''Forces of Nature.'' Other extras include a commentary track by co-directors Chris Renaud and Kyle Balda, a karaoke style sing-along for the end-credit song ''Let It Grow,'' a drawing tutorial, a deleted scene, featurettes and interactive games and activities. ''Bel Ami'' - The Twihards didn't flock to see Robert Pattinson in this adaptation of Guy de Maupassant's 19th century novel about a poor soldier who uses his charms to seduce the wealthy and influential women of Paris to raise his social and financial status. Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas play some of his conquests. The only extra is a behind-the-scenes featurette. (Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, $22.99 DVD)

''Blue Like Jazz'' - A teen decides to escape his evangelical Texas upbringing and heads to liberal Reed College in the Pacific Northwest, which inspires a journey of self-discovery. The movie is based on the semi-autobiographical best-selling novel by Donald Miller, who co-wrote the screenplay, and the film stars Marshall Allman, Claire Holt, Tania Raymonde and Justin Welborn.

Miller, co-writer and director Steve Taylor and cinematographer Ben Pearson provide a commentary track. Other extras include deleted scenes, a photo gallery and a half-dozen featurettes. (Lionsgate Home Entertainment, $27.98 DVD, $39.99 Blu-ray)

''Marley'' - This documentary looks at the musical, social and political legacy of reggae musician Bob Marley. It includes rare interview and performance footage. (Magnolia Home Entertainment, $26.98 DVD, $29.98 Blu-ray)

''Jesse Stone: Benefit of the Doubt'' - The latest television movie based on characters created by novelist Robert B. Parker has Police Chief Jesse Stone (Tom Selleck) investigating a double homicide in Paradise, Mass. Kathy Baker, Kohl Sudduth, Gloria Reuben, Robert Carradine and William Devane costar. (Sony Picture Home Entertainment, $26.99 DVD)

''William & Catherine: A Royal Romance'' - The quickie Hallmark Channel movie made to capitalize of the wedding of Prince Williams and Kate Middleton makes its DVD debut with Dan Amboyer and Alice St. Clair as the royal couple and Jane Alexander as Queen Elizabeth II, Victor Garber as Prince Charles and Jean Smart as Camilla Parker Bowles. (Lionsgate Home Entertainment, $14.98 DVD)

''Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale'' - John Woo produced this Taiwanese epic about an aboriginal uprising against Japanese oppressors in the 1940s. The disc includes the four-and-a-half-hour, international version of the film. Other extras include interviews with Woo and director Wei Te-Sheng and multiple featurettes.
