Obama off the mark on success comment

DEAR EDITOR:

Recently our president said to all business owners, successful and unsuccessful, that they "didn't build that." If they didn't build that, then what is the point in us even trying in anything we do?

Is he saying then that my grades in school were not actually mine? We are always told in school to try our best and work as hard as we can. President Obama seems to disagree though because, according to him, no matter how hard I work, I did not earn those grades. The same thing goes for my Eagle Scout. I am very close to my Eagle and have already completed my Eagle project, so believe me when I say it is a lot of work. But I guess I did not do that, someone else must have according to him.

Obama is sending a message to all of America that we do not have to work for what we get. In a bad economy, he is telling everyone that we do not need to work in order to be successful, because it is all someone else's. I guess I do not need to work in anything anymore, because I have nothing to do with my success, it is someone else's.
