SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Eugene ''Gene'' T. Engle, 81, died Sunday, July 22, 2012, in Spokane Valley, Wash.
Gene was born Feb. 11, 1931, in Warren, a son of Evan E. and Florence H. Engle.
He served four years in the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base. He worked in transportation management in Spokane.

Survivors include his wife, Dolores M. Coleman Engle; five children, Vicki Cunningham of Liberty Lake, Wash., Steve Engle of Maple Valley, Wash., David Engle of Kirkland, Wash., Doug Engle of Washougal, Wash., and Nancy Lynch of Medical Lake, Wash.; one brother, Richard Engle of Fort Mill, S.C.; one sister, Marian Sutliff of Warren; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation and services were held at Heritage Funeral Home, Spokane, Wash.
