HOWLAND - Pauline Bartoloni, 93, formerly of South Amboy, N.J., passed away peacefully Sunday, July 29, 2012, at St. Joseph Health Center surrounded by her family.
She was born Feb. 2, 1919, one of 11 children born to Dominic Bevacqua and Anna Darta-Bevacqua at the family home built by her parents in Jamesburg, N.J.
Mrs. Bartoloni was a homemaker and worked at Krauszers store in Perth Amboy, N.J., and at a sewing shop before retiring. She was a member of Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Perth Amboy.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, doing puzzle books and spending time with her granddaughter and great-granddaughter.
On May 5, 1951, she married the love of her life, Thomas Bartoloni, and they celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage.
After getting married, Pauline moved from the family homestead in Jamesburg to Perth Amboy, later settling in South Amboy. Pauline moved to Ohio in 2008 to live with her son, Dennis, his wife, Shellie, and granddaughter, Marissa, who became her caregivers.
She will be eternally missed by her son, Dennis (Shellie); granddaughter, Marissa Bartoloni; a great-granddaughter, Lennyn; and her nephews, Richard Bruno, Dominic Bruno, Dominic Chiarella and Jerry Chiarella, Thomas Peluso and John Peluso and Paul Ciko and David Ciko, and nieces, Anna Bender and Stella Davino, Rosanne Rincavage and Linda Otto, and all their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, who passed away Aug. 25, 2001; her parents; an infant son; an infant brother; an infant sister; two brothers, Samuel and Angelo Bevacqua; and six sisters, Mary Chiarella, Vicky Peluso, Nancy Bruno, Jenny Ciko, Christine Ciko and Gloria Bartko, all formerly of New Jersey.
There will be no services or calling hours here in Ohio since Pauline will be returned to her final resting place in New Jersey.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Local arrangements were made by Lane Roberts-Clark Chapel, Warren.
