On July 5, 2012, Thomas and Sheila Ward Stiver of Cortland celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Thomas Stiver and the former Sheila Ward were married July 5, 1952, at Howland Community Church.
Sheila retired after 25 at the Howland Local Schools, and Tom retired from a lifetime at the family business, the C.H. Stiver Co.

They continue to be very active and enjoy traveling and reading good books. Tom enjoys golfing and volunteering at Habitat for Humanity.
They have two children, Tom (Theresa) Stiver of Cortland and Laura Bitonte of Alliance. They also have five grandchildren with whom they have great fun.
The family celebrated throughout the month of July.
