Historical Day planned

BLOOMFIELD TO HOLD HISTORICAL DAY: The North Bloomfield Historical Society will hold its annual Historical Day from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the township commons at state Routes 45 and 87. The day will include antique cars and tractors, musical entertainment, artisans, collectible displays and crafts. There also will be an Amish lunch from noon to 2 p.m. in the basement of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, and a program at 2 p.m. with professional impersonators Gerald and Marilyn Payne as President Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln and Mike Wilson as President William McKinley at the town hall.

SCOPE HOSTS SUMMER SHOW: The Niles SCOPE Senior Center is offering a summer show at noon today at the center, 14 E. State St., Niles, with professional ventriloquist Helen Hammett. She has created a repertoire of shows for audiences of all ages and uses hand-carved basswood figures for her shows. Call the center to register so they can determine a count for food. A donation of one's choice will be accepted the day of the show. The center can be reached at 330-544-3676.

PRODUCE TO BE DISTRIBUTED: The Warren Family Mission in conjunction with Second Harvest Food Bank will hold a fresh produce giveaway from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the mission, 361 Elm Road, Warren.

LIBRARY HOLDS ART PROGRAM: The Howland library branch, 9095 E. Market St., will hold a Teen Scene open art studio for ages 5 to 12 at 11 a.m. Saturday. Participants will learn about sculpting, drawing and painting. To register, call 330-856-2011.

TEEN STRAIGHT TALK TO ADDRESS YOUTH: The Ohio Central East Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Holy Convocation will host Teen Straight Talk from 9:45 a.m. to noon Friday at the Community Faith Outreach Complex, Monument of Faith COGIC, 2165 Highland Ave., Warren.
