ASSOCIATION TO HOLD PICNIC: The Historic Perkins Homestead Neighborhood Association in Warren will hold its fifth annual picnic for neighborhood residents from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. The event will be held at the corner of Belmont Avenue and Prospect Street N.W., Warren. There will be food, games, a 50-50 raffle, musical entertainment and door prizes.
ACADEMY HOLDS SESSION: Representatives from Ohio Connections Academy will host two information sessions in the Youngstown area to educate prospective parents and students about the virtual public school. Teachers, administrators and parents of current students will be available to answer questions about how the online school works, the benefits to students and how to enroll. A session will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today and Aug. 14 at the Fairfield Inn and Suites, 801 N. Canfield Niles Road, Youngstown. Guest speaker is Angela D.
