BRACEVILLE - Elizabeth Woodyard, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2012, at Laurie Ann Nursing Home.
Elizabeth was born at home on Aug. 8, 1923, in Leavittsburg, the daughter of the late George W. and Captolia E. Elwell Taylor.
After graduating high school, she attended business college, and married her loving husband, George Edmond Woodyard, on Feb. 12, 1956. She spent all of her life in the Braceville area.

She worked at Packard Electric as a payroll clerk for a few years, then stayed home to raise her family. Elizabeth attended church at First Church of God in Newton Falls.
She was a member of Morning Light Chapter 80 Order of Eastern Star. She was a den mother for the Cub Scouts for many years, and she loved doing crafts.
Memories of Elizabeth will be carried on by her loving husband, George Edmond Woodyard of Braceville; daughter and son-in-law, Martha (Matthew) Montgomery of Newton Falls; and her two grandsons, Roy and Lee Montgomery.
She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy L. Woodyard; two sisters, Katherine Airwick and Irene Ridgway; and two brothers, Harry and Fred Taylor.
Eastern Star services will be at 6 p.m. Monday at the James Funeral Home, followed by calling hours from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Newton Falls First Church of God, with visitation at the church one hour prior.
Burial will be in Braceville Cemetery.
