Cemetery repairs continue

NEWTON - The Newton Township Cemetery Association is continuing its efforts making repairs and improvements at the local cemeteries.

Linda Gundros of the association said repairs were made to 109 headstones at Duck Creek Cemetery with documentations of headstones continuing at the West Cemetery on Ridge Road, Pricetown Cemetery, Lutheran Cemetery, St. Michael's Cemetery and Wilderson Cemetery. Also, the St. Michael Cemetery chapel had the roof replaced.

Volunteers are needed to continue with repairs, and donations are also needed to help cover repair expenses.

The association's next meeting is 6 p.m. today at the township hall.
