MOSQUITO LAKE HOLDS DISCOVERY DAY: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Mosquito Lake State Park will host its annual Mosquito's Lakeview Discovery Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The event provides an opportunity for the public to discover nature at the Lakeview Recreation Area. The event includes a cookout, games, displays and demonstrations to educate attendees on nature and water safety. Special guests will be Bobber the Water Safety Dog, Mountain Man Trapping, with a nature trail hike on the wildlife trail, fish identification, insect collection, scavenger hunt, bird identification, knot tying, frisbee golf, cornhole and water games.
FOOD TO BE DISTRIBUTED: Deliverance Temple Church, 1849 West Ave. N.W., Warren, will hold a food distribution giveaway in conjunction with Youngstown Community Food Center at 3 p.m. Thursday. Grocery items will be given to those who bring photo identification.
RUMMAGE SALE TO FUND SCHOLARSHIP: Trumbull County Senior Productions will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday to Saturday at 3323 Parkman Road, Warren, across from Blue Jean Farms. All funds raised will be used toward a scholarship.
