Kiwanis to host duck derby

KIWANIS HOLD ANNUAL DUCK DERBY FUNDRAISER: The Niles Kiwanis will hold its 16th annual Great Duck Derby at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Eastwood Mall in Niles. Cash prizes will be awarded for first to third places. Tickets are $5 each or three for $10, available at First Choice Community Credit Union, Raphael's School of Beauty Culture, Farmers National Bank and Toyota, Volvo, Jaguar of Warren.

CENTER TO HOLD MARKET: St. Elizabeth Health Center, 1044 Belmont Ave., Youngstown, will have a market from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in its main lobby off Park Avenue. Humility of Mary Health Partners has partnered with the Lake-to-River Food Cooperative to bring fresh produce to its employees and the public.

The food co-op received a grant from the Farm Market Promotion Program of the USDA to promote and provide fresh fruits and vegetables in food deserts such as the north side of Youngstown.

FRIENDS GROUP PLANS CRAFT SHOW: The Friends of Mosquito Lake State Park campgrounds are holding the third annual craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Ten-foot-by-10-foot spaces are available for $10. For information, call Mary at 330-360-7867.

DOCENT TRAINING SET: A docent training class for anyone interested in helping visitors at the John Stark Edwards House and Museum will be held from 10 am. to noon Tuesday at the house, 303 Monroe N.W. The training is open to the public as well as members of the Trumbull County Historical Society.
