Angelyn C. Prezioso 1931-2012

STRONGSVILLE - Angelyn C. "Angie" DiNofrio Prezioso, 80, passed away at 7:25 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012, in Strongsville.

She was born Aug. 6, 1931, in Mingo Junction, the daughter of Loretto and Clara Recchio DiNofrio.

She moved to Niles to marry the love of her life John G. Prezioso on May 9, 1953, and he passed away March 25, 1972. She lived in Niles until 2001 when she moved to Strongsville to live with her daughters.

She is survived by three daughters, Clare (Mike) Gales and Loraine (Dirk) Abernathy of Strongsville, with whom she lived, and Sue (Fred) Bury of Westerville; a son, Neil (Cindy) Prezioso of Powell; a sister, Catherine DiNofrio Walters of Mingo Junction; as well as her beloved grandchildren, Brent and Brittany Little, Aly and Kirsten Abernathy, Derek and Jordan Gales, and Danielle Prezioso; and two great-grandchildren, Aniya Scott and Piper Little, whom gave her so much joy the past four years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Prezioso; her parents, Loretto and Clara Recchio DiNofrio; a stepfather, James Carlucci; a brother, Henry DiNofrio; and two sisters, Sue DiNofrio Lugano and Antoinette DiNofrio Barbarini.

Her family would like to say that Angie was an amazing mother,wife, grandmother and friend who dedicated her life to her family and her faith in God. She had an infectious laugh, huge heart and put everyone before herself. She will be missed each and every day by all who knew her.

She worked as a book-keeper for the Security Dollar Bank of Niles for 30 years, retiring in 1994 and was a member and strong supporter of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles, The Renewal Team, Padre Pio Prayer Group, Bicentennial Choir and current member of St. John Neuman Catholic Church in Strongsville.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles, where the Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct 7:30 p.m. prayers.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles, with the Rev. John-Michael Lavelle, D. Min, officiating, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
