POLAND - President Barack Obama's re-election campaign tour bus will swing through the Valley this week, and he will make a tour stop Friday, speaking at a local school here, his camp announced Tuesday.
The stop at Dobbins Elementary School is part of the president's two-day, ''Betting on America'' bus tour, which starts Thursday in Maumee, in northwest Ohio, and crosses northern Ohio with a series of grassroots campaign stops and an ice cream social in Sandusky.
Poland's visit will be the fourth and final stop in the state before the president heads to Pennsylvania to speak at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
Ticket information for the visit in Poland will be released later.
According to Obama camp officials, the president will talk about the work he has done to improve the economy, ''doubling down'' on American workers by rescuing the automobile industry and investments in manufacturing.
The president also will talk about the choice voters have in November, ''whether we want to grow our economy from the middle out, not the top down,'' a reference to presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, ''who believes in an economy built from the top down and supports the same policies that crashed our economy and devastated the middle class.

''The President is rebuilding an economy meant to last - one that restores middle class security by investing in education, energy, innovation and infrastructure and reforms the tax code - steps which will create American jobs, responsibly pay down our debt and ensure everyone - from Wall Street to Main Street - plays by the same rules and pays their fair share,'' according to information released by the campaign.
Mahoning County Republican Party chairman Mark Munroe said it was an ''overreaching and overburdensome'' federal government that led to the current crisis. Four more years of Obama, Munroe said, would lead to more of the same.
''This bus tour should be called the 'Apology Tour,' because when you look at the fact, poverty in this country is at its highest levels, the average length of unemployment is reaching record highs ... He (Obama) has added $5 trillion dollars to the national debt since he's taken office,'' Munroe said. ''Our kids can't find jobs, this guy has been nothing but a disaster, and November can't come soon enough to get this guy out.''
The president's campaign says he will begin the trip in Maumee, near Toledo, at the Wolcott House Museum. He then stops at an ice cream social at Sandusky's Washington Park, followed by an evening rally at James Day Park in the Cleveland suburb of Parma.
Friday's stop in Poland wasn't part of the itinerary the campaign released Monday. It was added Tuesday.
The tour in battleground Ohio comes on the heels of a June 27 Quinnipiac University poll that shows Obama has a ''healthy'' nine point lead in the Buckeye State, where the president has gained ground. In a May 3 swing state poll, Quinnipiac had the race ''too close to call.''
The stop is the first in the Mahoning Valley for Obama on his re-election campaign, and his third as president.
He toured and then spoke at V&M Star in Youngstown in May 2010 and before that, at the General Motors plant in Lordstown in September 2009.
