GARRETTSVILLE - Michael W. Fortsch, 49, formerly of Ravenna and Shalersville, died Monday, July 2, 2012, at University Hospital in Cleveland.
He was born April 25, 1963, in Erie, Pa., a son of Frank and Audrey Fritts Fortsch.
Michael had worked at Amweld in Garrettsville.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Collins Fortsch; four children, Matthew, Ryan, Cheryl Knight and Sara Keane; a brother, Eric Fortsch; two sisters, Kathy and Laura; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel, where visitation will be an hour prior to services.
