Niles Community Services, the areas agency to provide humanitarian assistance to adults and children throughout Niles, McDonald and Weathersfield Township, will be holding its annual golf outing Aug. 15 at The Lake Club, 1140 Paulin Road, Poland.
Golf will begin with a shotgun start at noon. Prior to golfing, registration and the golf range will be open at 10:30 a.m. for golfers and lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to noon. The event consists of a four-person scramble made of men, women and mixed teams.
The cost is $100 per person or $400 per team. Dinner only for non-golfers is $35.

Registration fees include the range, golf, lunch, dinner, golf prizes, door prizes and a thank-you gift. The first golfer to get a hole-in-one on hole number 11 will win a cash prize of $10,000.
Proper golf attire should be worn. Locker room facilities will be available.
Registration forms should be mailed by July 15 to Niles Community Services, Inc., 401 Vienna Ave., Niles, OH 44446. Registration forms are available at the NCS office. Make checks payable to Niles Community Services Golf Outing. Registration is limited to 120 golfers.
Niles Community Services provides food services, medical and prescription assistance, housing and emergency shelter, infant and youth assistance, emergency utilities assistance, clothing and personal items for children and adults, holiday programs and other services for adults and children.
In addition to its regular services, the NCS office also holds monthly produce giveaways sponsored by Second Harvest Food Bank.
''We are a reactionary organization in that we react to the needs of the public,'' said Jean Williams, director.
''We can't thank the people of these towns enough,'' Williams said, ''including Mineral Ridge, McDonald and Niles. ''They are generous, but the need goes on.''
Last month alone, the NCS office served between 375 and 400 families, Williams said.
