CORTLAND - Marie K. Kramer, 86, died Friday, June 22, 2012, at the Cortland Health Care Center.
She was born June 24, 1925, in Warren, the daughter of the late Frank Benton and the late Myrna Byham Benton.
Marie was a member of the West Mecca United Methodist Church and had worked as a bookkeeper for Cortland Banks. She enjoyed reading and solving crossword puzzles and she loved watching the Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers on TV.
Her husband, Edward F. Kramer, whom she married Aug. 25, 1951, preceded her in death on June 30, 1983.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah and Donna Kramer, both of Cortland; and a sister, Jessie (John) Dryer of Silver City, N.M.
Marie was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Kramer; and a sister, Harriet Greenwood.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel in Cortland. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Ron McIlvaine will be officiating.
A private family burial will be held at a later date in the Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
