WARREN - James R. Schuman, 76, died at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
He was born Nov. 12, 1935, in Seperit, La., the son of the late Warren and Armo Perry Schuman.
Jim was a tow motor driver at Packard Electric for 30 years, retiring in 1982.

Mr. Schuman was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Champion, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Survivors include a son, James W. Schuman of Warren; three grandchildren, Michelle Padula, Melissa (Jeff) Donatelli and Corey (Beth) Schuman; and three great-grandchildren, Kyler, Briella and Liam. One sister, Leona of Warren, survives.
Other than his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, the former Joanne Thorsby on March 24, 2012. They were united in marriage on June 24, 1955.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be private in the Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
