BROOKFIELD - Two people were killed when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a semi-truck here about 12:30 p.m. today.
According to Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers, crash occurred on State Route 7 at the intersection of State Route 82. Daniel H. Minchoff, 54, and Debora L. Roberts, 50, both of Greenville, Pa., were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Truck driver Daniel L. Hopkins, 57, of Orwell, was not injured.
The state patrol said Minchoff was driving a 2002 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic motorcycle with Roberts as his passenger. Minchoff was traveling west on tate Route 82, and failed to stop for a red light, striking the side of Hopkins' truck, wich was traveling south on state Route 7.
Both motorcycle occupants were ejected. The motorcycle sustained heavy damage to its entirety.
Hopkins was driving a 2011 Peterbilt 386 commercial vehicle. His vehicle sustained moderate damage to a fuel tank and undercarriage.
This crash remains under investigation.
