WARREN -- City Schools Superintendent Bruce Thomas has turned in a letter of resignation to the school district.
The Warren Board of Education will hold a special meeting at noon Thursday in the board room of the administration building, 105 High St., to accept the resignation and to appoint in interim superintendent.
No reason was given for his resignation.
Thomas was hired by the school district in July 2011, after an exhaustive search . He previously served as the assistant superintendent/regional superintendent of Marietta City Schools.
