Caregivers job fair slated for Thursday

BOARDMAN - Mahoning County One-Stop, Community CareGivers and Compass Family & Community Services will recruit caregivers at Mahoning County One Stop at 141 Boardman Canfield Road 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday. Positions are full and part-time, and pay up to $8 an hour with benefits.

Applicants should bring a resume, and be prepared to complete a job application and interview. They also should have an STNA license or be willing to be trained, among other job requirements.

Direct Energy Business to offer power

Direct Energy Business, which calls itself one of North America's largest integrated energy companies, announced Monday that it will supply electricity to commercial and industrial customers in the Ohio Edison service territory.

The company said it will offer commercial and industrial electricity customers a suite of fixed and index products.

Direct Energy said it already has serves residential and business customers with natural gas and electricity products.

First Place shares drop a dime

In local trading Monday, First Place Financial Corp., dropped a dime to close at 55 cents a share. Cortland Bancorp rose 81 cents to close at $10.01 a share, and First Niles Financial remained unchanged at $8.05 a share.
