The engagement and upcoming marriage of Jessica L. Hayden and Matthew J. Nuzzi are being announced by the couple's parents, Jeff and Rita Hayden of Katy, Texas, and Paul and Cathy Nuzzi of Girard.
Miss Hayden is a 2009 graduate of Brookfield High School. She is a licensed state-tested nurses' aide and employed at Abbington of Powell in Powell.
Mr. Nuzzi is a 2006 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and received a bachelor's degree in pre-mortuary science and business administration from Gannon University and an associate's degree in applied science and mortuary science from the Cincinnati School of Mortuary Science. He is employed as a trade embalmer for Columbus Trade and Livery in the Columbus area.

The couple will be united in marriage during an open wedding ceremony to be held Aug. 17, 2012, at St. Rose Church in Girard. Invitations will be issued for a reception to be held at Avalon at Buhl Park.
