The engagement and upcoming marriage of Karen Marie Barbe and Nathaniel Bart Caldwell are being announced by the couple.
Parents of the bride-elect are Debbie Barbe of Champion and Rick Barbe of Meadville. Parents of the groom-elect are Bart and Lori Caldwell of Champion.
Ms. Barbe graduated from Champion High School in 2003 and received a bachelor of arts degree in accounting and financial management from Hiram College in 2007. She received her master of accountancy degree from Bowling Green State University in 2008.

Mr. Caldwell graduated from Champion High School in 2002 and received a bachelor of science degree in physics from Youngstown State University in 2007 and is pursuing his master's degree in computer science. Mr. Caldwell is self-employed as an IT consultant.
The couple will be united in marriage during a wedding ceremony to be held June 30, 2012, at the Magnuson Grand Hotel in Warren. Invitations were issued for the ceremony and a reception to follow.
