NILES - Robert A. Gumina, 48, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening, June 16, 2012, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Bobby was born April 28, 1964, in Warren, the son of Peter and Dora Cogan Gumina.
He was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and went on to work as an operator for WCI Steel, currently RG Steel, in Warren for more than 26 years.

He was a member of the United Steel Workers union and loved spending time riding motorcycles and enjoyed cooking. His greatest love above all was spending quality time taking trips and doing various activities with his beloved children, Nicholas and Jenna.
Bobby will be deeply missed by two children, Nicholas R. Gumina and Jenna Marie Gumina, both of Howland; his mother, Dora Gumina of Niles; a sister, Tracy E. Gumina of Cortland; his companion, Lynetta Marino of Niles, with whom he made his home; and the mother of his children, Jennifer Gallucci of Howland.
He was preceded in death by his father, Peter, on Dec. 18, 2011; and a brother, Timothy J. Gumina on Sept. 1, 1993.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday with his cousin, the Rev. Kevin Grubbs, officiating at the Lane Family Funeral Homes Niles Chapel, 415 Robbins Ave., Niles, OH 44446. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
