POLICE HOLD BIKE RODEO: The McDonald Police Department is holding its bicycle rodeo for children from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Ramsay Pavilion off Ohio Avenue. The event is free for local children kindergarten to eighth grade.
Bicycle safety information, prizes and games will be provided. Participants must wear approved bike helmets. There will be a course manned by the police in the park.
TRAIN CLUB HOSTS EXHIBIT: The Riverside Railroad Train Club will hold an open house from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Warren SCOPE Center, 220 W. Market St. The club is one of the few local large scale railroad clubs. Rain date is June 29. Cost is $3 and free to children younger than 12. For information, call 330-399-8846.
CONSTELLATION ACTIVITY FOR KIDS: The Warren-Trumbull County Public Main Library, Mahoning Avenue, will hold a constellation T-shirt craft from 2 to 6 p.m. today. Participants can create wearable art using a variety of dyeing techniques.
ASSOCIATION TO MEET: The Newton Township Cemetery Association will meet at 6 p.m. today at the township administration building on Arlington Road. Topics of discussion will include the work that continues on the seven township cemeteries and the reading and documentation of headstones. The 2013 calendar, which is the yearly fundraiser, should be ready for sale this month.

ASSOCIATION HOSTS FIELD DAY: The Warren Amateur Radio Association Field Day will be held from 2 p.m. Saturday to 5 p.m. Sunday at Mosquito Lake State Park off state Route 305. Any ham operator will be able to come and set up his or her station to make contacts with others doing field day drills.
Field Day was started in 1933 to prepare hams to operate during emergency situations. Anyone who is interested may come and watch.
LIBRARY HOLDS RECYCLING PROGRAM: Girard Library, 105 E. Prospect St., will present a recyling program at 11 a.m. Friday with the Trumbull County Waste Management District. The Akron Zoo will visit the library at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
FISHING EVENT FOR KIDS: Eagle Creek Creek Conservation Club will hold a youth fishing education program from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The program is for children ages 4 to 15 aimed at teaching the basic fishing techniques needed to help children. The event will be held at the conservation club, 5525 Eagle Creek Road, Leavittsburg.
