CORTLAND - Amil A. Roscoe, 89, of Cortland, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
He was born Feb. 16, 1923, in Youngstown, the son of the late Alexander and Judith Britko Roscoe.
Amil was owner / operator of Custom Countertops and Kitchens in Cortland.

He was a proud WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a founding member of the St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Cortland, where he previously served on the church council, a past President of Maplewood Boosters Club, and enjoyed playing the Ohio Lottery, taking pictures and spending time with his family.
Amil is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret (Marchin); son, Ronald (Linda) Roscoe of Cortland; two daughters, Gloria (Mike) Noday of Cincinnati and Patty (Jerry) Denovchek of Cortland; four brothers, Willie, Stan, Kit and Rich; six grandchildren, Lisa (Tom) Donaldson, Carrie (Matt) Brumit, Kelly Roscoe, Greg (Christine) Denovchek, Kim (Scott) Donaldson and Paige Noday; and seven great-grandchildren.
Amil was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sandra Roscoe; brothers, Charlie, George, Eddie and Alec; and a sister, Ethel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 5 p.m. today at the St. Robert Bellaremine Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. prior to the service today at the church.
Interment will be private.
The family requests memorials to be made in his name to the St. Robert Catholic Church Building Fund, 4659 Niles Cortland Road, Cortland, OH 44410.
