LEAVITTSBURG - Gene Edwin Mason, 82, died at 4:12 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
He was born Feb. 8, 1930, in Akron, the son of Wiley and Blanche Hudson Mason.
Gene retired from American Welding and Mfg. in Warren and was of the Protestant faith.
Gene is survived by his wife, Peggy L. Dishman Mason; two daughters, Cheryl D. Monos of Niles and Deirdre A. Nicholas of Newton Falls; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Two sisters and three brothers have preceded him in death.
Per Gene's wishes, no calling hours or services will be held. Cremation will take place.
Arrangements were handled by Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel.
