Mark A. Thomas 1957-2012

WARREN - Mark A. Thomas, 54, entered into rest at 6:05 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Mark was born July 21, 1957, in Youngstown, the son of the late Thomas Richard and Mary Ann Sloan Thomas, and was a Trumbull County area resident for 11 years.

He had attended Woodrow Wilson South High School, was a truck driver and a member of Seeking God's Glory Church.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and mechanical work, and was a volunteer at the Warren Family Mission. But most of all he enjoyed the quality time with his family and his grandchildren.

On Sept. 6, 1980, he was united into marriage with the former Mary Jo Leshnock, and they shared 28 years together until her passing on Jan. 21, 2008.

His memory will be remembered and cherished by those he leaves behind, his daughters, Jolene M. (JoJo) Thomas of McDonald, Tara L. (Travis) McAllister of Warren and Carolynn A. Thomas of Niles; a brother, James J. (Kathy) Thomas of Houston; a sister, Barbara L. (Del) Ripley of Columbiana; and grandchildren, Ian J. Helmick and Dylan B. Helmick.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. today at the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home in Warren, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Officiating will be the Pastors James Dittmar and Chuck Gantz.
