TAILS AND TRAILS EVENT SET AT PARK: The 2012 Tails, Trails and Carnival Animal Walk hosted by Safe at Last Dog Rescue and TNR of Warren is being planned for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 7 at the Mosquito Lake State Park, state Route 305, Bazetta. Each animal registered to walk will get a free treat while supplies last. There will be games for dogs and pet owners, a Chinese auction and a concession stand. Participants can help by getting others to sponsor with a donation pledge. For those who raise $50 or more, the $10 entrance fee will be waived. The first 50 walkers registered get a T-shirt. Pledge forms are available at www.safeatlastdogrescue.org. All proceeds will go to help support the rescues and their efforts in finding homeless dogs and cats forever homes. CAMP OFFERS CHILDREN'S?PROGRAM: The 11-week YWCA Warren's Camp Discover, a summer adventure for children in kindergarten to fifth grade, is being held through Aug. 17. The theme is ''Time Travel.'' Weekly adventure camps will center around subjects such as wildlife, visual media and sports. The arts camp will be held June 25 to 29 in partnership with the Trumbull County Arts Excel program. Children will learn dance, music, art and drama. Every Wednesday, the children will earn merit badges with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Swimming lessons at Warren G. DAY OF ACTION: Employees with Time Warner Cable partnered with United Way to canvass northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania and devote about 2,000 hours in support of local communities during a companywide Day of Action held Friday. Volunteers helped to paint, restore, garden and clean. Time Warner will work to support a variety of organizations across the region, such as Goodwill Industries, the American Red Cross, Stark County Parks, the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, the Council on Aging, Catholic Charities and Fairhill Partners. The 13 counties include Ashtabula, Mahoning and Trumbull.
