N. Jackson pastor faces rape charge

Woman, 20, accuses head of Victory Harvest Ministries

JACKSON - The pastor of a North Jackson church is facing a rape charge.

Ronald Lee Pyles Jr., 58, 13243 Palmyra Road, was arrested on two counts of rape and two counts of gross sexual imposition by township police Wednesday after a three-month investigation, Chief Kenneth Frost said.

Pyles heads up the Victory Harvest Ministries, which is headquartered at his his home, Frost said.

The woman in the case, who is 20, lived at the church between March 2011 and October 2012 and told a guardian that she was assaulted by Pyles while she lived there. The guardian contacted police, Frost said. Pyles is awaiting arraignment in the Mahoning County Jail.

Police are asking that anyone else who may have information about Pyles to contact them at 330-538-3093.
