JERSEY CITY, N.J. - Hayward L. Harris, 66, formerly of Warren, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012.
He was born Sept. 29, 1945, in Luverne, Ala., the son of Marvin and Mary Harris.
Hayward retired from the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.

Survivors include four children, Odessia Joyner, Reggie Tucker, Genovese Harris and Rasheen Rice; a long-time companion, Elizabeth Mauldin; two stepdaughters, Twana Battle and Dawn Skipper; two brothers, Amos Harris and Willie Harris; four sisters, Mary Ruth White, Rose Pratt, Mary Lee Reid and Diane Daniels; 10 grandchildren and two stepgranddaughters.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Services have been held.
Arrangements were handled by Watson Mortuary Service, Jersey City.
