YOUNGSTOWN - The Regional Chamber announced Wednesday that it and the Ohio Shale Coalition will co-host a luncheon and half-day seminar detailing the requirements for involvement in the lucrative Utica shale industry supply chain.
The event is set for 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 27 at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman.
Attendees will learn about master service agreements, API and ISNetworld Compliance, and gain valuable strategies for contracting with exploration and production, oil field services and processing companies.
One featured speaker will be Ed Durante, president and chief executive officer of Texas International Engineering Consultants, which provides engineering, project management, training, third-party inspection and quality assurance services.
Another featured speaker will be Donald P. Fischbach, who will talk about master service agreements as a partner and chair in energy and natural resources for Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP.
Also scheduled is a panel discussion on "Strategies for Entering the Shale Supply Chain," with companies representing exploration and production, oilfield services, midstream and local contracting.
The day will conclude with a discussion on how companies can be included in the master database that the Ohio Shale Coalition is developing, which will be used by oil and gas companies when seeking qualified Ohio suppliers.
