Joshua loved playing ball, music and reading. He particularly loved the annual Car and Bike Show held at the church as a benefit to him to help support the family in his battle with metachromatic leukodystrophy for the past 13 years.

The original diagnosis was that he would live to be 3 to 6 years old, but God blessed him with 15 miraculous years.

He is survived by his parents of Austintown; two sisters, Stefanie (Mark) Adams of Boardman and Chelsea Sinchak of Austintown; maternal grandparents, William and Velma Meiter of New Castle, Pa.; paternal grandmother, Gladys Walker of Hartford; one niece, Kalie Natale; two nephews, Nathan and Evan Adams; three uncles, Lester (Laura) Meiter of New Castle, David Walker of Hartford and Billy (Jodi) Walker of Sharpsville, Pa.; and two aunts, Jeri (Douglas) Burns of Hartford and Alene (Oliver) Zammit of San Diego.

Joshua was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Franklin Walker.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Emmaunel Community Church, 6512 Kirk Road, Canfield, OH 44406, with Pastor John Hutchinson officiating.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Interment will follow at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, his church family and all those who participated in the annual car show, for their continued love and care for Joshua.

The family request that donations be made in Joshua's memory in care of Becker Funeral Homes, 11 Spring St., Struthers, OH 44471.

Arrangements are being handled by the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Condolences may be sent at www.beckerobits.com.
